Rev. Dozier defends accused teachers
‘Holy water’ accusation affects teachers

Some local ministers in Florida are coming to the defense of two teachers who have been removed from their classrooms and are under investigation for allegations they offended an atheist colleague.
Rev. O’Neal Dozier, pastor of the Worldwide Christian Center Church in Pompano Beach, hosted a meeting on Monday with local clergy to discuss the accusations against two Christian teachers at Blanche Ely High School. Leslie Rainer and Djuna Robinson are accused of sprinkling “holy water” on fellow teacher Schandra Rodriguez, an avowed atheist, who was expressing her lack of belief in God with students.
Dozier tells OneNewsNow that the March 11 incident was blown out of proportion. “This was no more than a friendly, joking discussion that was taken to a higher level,” he states.
The pastor says one of the Christian teachers did take out a perfume bottle from her purse. “And she held it up and she said ‘I think you need to be sprinkled with holy water,’” he acknowledges. “Now she didn’t sprinkle her; she sprinkled no one.”
Rodriguez filed a complaint with the Broward County School District, which resulted in the two teachers being escorted from their classrooms — in the presence of students; and prompted an investigation — to the displeasure of Rev. Dozier.
“The mishandling of this particular case has prompted a violation of these two teachers’ first amendment constitutional rights — namely freedom of speech and freedom of religion,” he argues.
In the meantime, the two Christian teachers have been reassigned to administrative jobs within the school district. According to the South Florida Times, Rodriguez has been allowed to remain in the classroom.
Pro-Life Activist Rev. O’Neal Dozier honored

On Nov. 21, 2009, Broward Right to Life honored Rev. O’Neal Dozier with the prestigious Bart. T. Heffernan Guardian of Life Award for his unwavering efforts in pushing for a murder charge against Belkis Gonzalez.
Gonzalez, an unlicensed abortion clinic owner, allegedly intentionally killed a baby born alive after a botched abortion in a Hialeah abortion clinic.
Also, Rev. O’Neal Dozier was honored for being a strong advocate for the protection of the unborn for over two decades, by preaching and rallying against abortion from the pulpit as well as in the streets and in the media.
The award was presented to Rev. O’Neal Dozier at the “Broward Right to Life Benefit Breakfast”, which was held at the Deerfield Beach Hilton Hotel.
Rev. Dozier is a strong advocate for the protection of the unborn because he realizes that approximately 38 percent of the more than 50 million babies aborted in the United States since the passing of Rowe vs. Wade have been African American babies. Rev. Dozier also realizes that these 19 million more African Americans could have strengthened the economic and political power of Black Americans in the United States. Instead of being reduced to the second largest minority behind the Hispanics, African-Americans would still have been the largest minority in the Unites States. Rev. Dozier is calling on all African Americans in the United States to join him in his fight to prevent the continued slaughter of our unborn children.
